Wonderful hosts Danielle and Jason, of come cooked meal at their pad.
The relation is Jason is married to Danielle, Len's daughter, and Len is Diane's first cousin, and Diane is married to Jason's uncle Daryl. So, although a somewhat distant connection, the Derry's and Lotz's made us feel extremely welcome and like family while in our visit to Brisbane.

Finlay is the absolute cutest thing ever. What a firecracker of a personaliy.
And let me tell you, that boy had some gas all night. I seriously thought Jason was farting, but turns up is was just Finaly and a stinky diaper.

What do you think is in the mixing bowl? Believe it or not they are "bugs".
Apparently bugs are a crustracean similar to lobster or crayfish, which are only found in Queensland. Although the name is completely unappetizing, they were delicious. The bugs were the "surf" in our surf and turf meal.

The delicious spread prepared by Danielle and Jason.
They wanted to know what rating we'd be giving this restaurant for the food and ambience. I think they scored pretty high, but you'll have to check into the "what We Ate" section to know that forsure.

The possom that hangs out in their backyard came to say hello to us.
Then the possum scared me, and I missed taking a dead on picture.

Okay, this spider was humongous and moving real fast.
Lets just say I sobered up in about .2 seconds when the whole spider thing got involved. I am petrified of spiders, as many of you know. The rest of the night I seriously was darting my head left and right scanning the walls for creepy crawlers, which Jason and Danielle seemed to find amusement in. I know, "silly Americans"

The boys doing their "boy thing"
Actually, if you look close at what they were actually doing, they were looking at baby pictures of Finlay and Mckenzie. I knew this family would be the ones to convince my Jason how wonderful babies and parenting are. Job well done Derry's and Lotz's!
