Follow the orange flag to Nijo Castle
This was our first very "touristy" tour, equipped with flag and all. . .

Heian Shrine - Shinto Shrine
This shrine contained in the back the most gorgeous Japanese garden, as is clear from the next couple pictures.

Kiyomzu Temple (quite a climb up the hill from the bus area to get here!)
Although we didn't mind, b/c we passed tons of places that offered food samples along the way.

Hard to know if these were real giesha's or not!

There was tons of security at this palace - this was strange since it's unoccupied, and quite frankly not that impressive compared to many of the other sites we saw.

This little girl was on our tour, and she was soooo cute, and such a trooper
Throughout the day, probably a hundred or so people took pictures of her, since she was such a doll. Jason was joking with her mother that they should charge people 100 yen per shot.
