The limestone quarry Nelson Mandela did hard labor in for 18 years

We found out that as a result of all the residue in the air from the quarry, many of the prisoners had to have eye surgeries to fix their eyes.  To this day Mandela does not produce tears when he cries, since he tear ducts were blocked.

The tunnel where the prisoners not only went to the bathroom, but also taught

There is a saying that started from the prison of "Each One Teach One", since educating one another was very important.

In 1995 Mandela put a rock down here, and other ex-prisoners followed suit

To this day, those rocks have not been changed or moved, and serves as a rememberance to the struggle they all went through.
