In Australia go rafting on the Tully River. Cairns in Northern Queensland is the closest city to it or a cute sleepy town closer to the rafting is Mission Beach. R&R (Rafting in the Rainforest) is the company Tom used to be a guide for. If you meet a guy named Rod say g'day to him, he was Tom's old flatmate.

If you do stay in Cairns its a great place to take a day trip out to the Great Barrier Reef. You can snorkel, do an introductory dive course (that is what I did), or scuba dive if you have your license. Fraser Island and Byron Bay were a definite must too.

In Thailand, if you have time to go to the beaches we spent about five days in Rei Lei Beach just south of Krabi. West Rei Lei has really nice resorts right on the beach with outdoor dining and secluded beaches. You can only get to it to by boat even though its off the coast so its really cozy and relaxing. It was a nice change after the hustle of Bangkok.

When in Bangkok you must go to a Thai Kickboxing match(muay thai is what they call it??). It was one of the craziest experiences. Imagine WWF Thai style.
