Of course we came upon many little squares and areas while wandering around the city. There are so many hidden gems to be discovered in this city.

Ancient Houses in Market Square, Antwerp
This is considered the old quarter of town, which has so much charm in it. Our Lady Cathedral is also located in the center here, which we marveled at from the outside. Lots of energy and excitement fill the square.
-
Walk along the River, Antwerp
This castle like building was actually a museum directly on the water. We walked around this area, taking in the wonderful views from atop.

-
Salvador Dali Expo in Market Square
This tempoary exhibit happened to be showing in the Market Square, and I convinced Jason we had to check it out. There weren't any of his most famous pieces, but still some very interesting pieces, although Jason didn't seem too interested.
-
Flea Market in Brugge
Somehow we wandered so far out of the main area of the city center, we found ourselves in this flea market. There were hundreds and hundreds of people showing their goods. Honestly, looked like a whole lot of junk to us, but we got a kick at seeing what other people thought may have value.
-
Lots of Belgium beer tasting in Brugge
There were so many cute little places to sit and have a drink, we decided we'd get our fill of beer here. We tried some really delicious beers including the Brugge Blond, Duvel, Hogaarden, and one other I forget the name of.

Walk through the Palais Royal gardens in Brussels
This was a very large garden, more like a sprawling park. We wandered around here for part of an afternoon which was very nice.
-
Palais Royal Tour, Brussels
The month of August if free to tour around this amazing Palais, which we really enjoyed. It was the most ornate Palais we've ever seen, containing room after room of gorgeous chandaliers.
-
Manneken Pis in Brussels
Believe it or not, this little fountain seemed to be the most popular tourist site we visited in all of Brussels. People were literally packed around this thing to watch the water flow from the very funny part of his body.
-
Belgium Waffle Inulgence
We had waited a long time to find just the right place to indulge in a Belgium waffle -- believe it or not, this was our first one since being in Belgium (although we were served less traditional ones at breakfast that were like donuts). White chocolate and whippe cream made this just perfect!
-
Grand Place Square, Brussels
This is the central market square of Brussels. It is surrounded by guild houses, the city's spectacular Town Hall and the Breadhouse. The square is the most important tourist destination and most memorable landmark in Brussels next to the Atomium.
-
Cathedral St. Michel in Brussels
We just walked by this monstrous church, and saw what a grand structure it was from the outside. It's right in the middle of the city.
-
Botanical Gardens
This was located at the end of the Rue Royale. It was neat though to capture the contrast of the gardens against the modern looking city in the background.
