Little India
This Indian populated area was really exciting to explore with all the vibrant shops, and incredibly delcious looking food. We had our first S. Indian meal here, which was definitely different from the typical Indian food we've eaten in the past. Many more suaces were served, and instead of naan there were other breads offered.

Night out with John on River Valley Road
5 bottles of wine between the 3 of us made for a very long night of chatting like we'd known each other for years.
-
Shopping on Orchard
WE have never seen such amazing shopping, with literally one mall, after another lining this street for miles. We've spent a lot of time wandering around, and even indulging in some retail therapy!

Night Safari at the Singapore Zoo
This was an amazing zoo experience, very different from normal zoos. The animals are not in closed in, cramped enclosures -- all are open air, very natural environments. Between the tram ride, and wandering around the walking trails, we saw some incredible sites. The exhibit where we entered into an enclosure with free-flying fruit bats especially caught Jason's attention. I freaked out when a bat brushed up againts my head flying over head. We saw lions, leaopards, porcupines, elephants, and many more. This definitely got us excited for our African safari's at the end of the month.

Arab Street
We wandered around this Muslim neighborhood and had a Turkish lunch. I loved all the fabric stores with brightly colored dresses that lined the streets.
