Ruan Kum Neung - Bangkok
It was quite an experience getting to this restaurant. WE asked our tuk-tuk driver to take us to some street food vendors, and 30 minutes later, we ended up here. There was definitely some comunication issues with here. The food turned out to be really good though, especially the curry crab meat, and pineapple fried rice.

Absolute 7 Bar - Sukhimvit - Bangkok
Lets just say this was one of those places where a lot of foreign men and Thai women made "connections". It seemed like most of the restaurants and bars in the area were a lot like that. Great ice cold Singha's there though!
-
Gulliver's - Sukhimvit - Bangkok
This place was going off. We had some amazing long island iced teas, and some delicious pad thai. The pita and hummus was quite unappetizing though - I guess that's what you get when you order middle eastern food in S. East Asia. This of course was not the most authentic Thai place, as I'm sure you can tell from the picture.

Mrs. Balbir's - Sukhimvit - Bangkok
This was one of those places we realized we had gone wrong right after we ordered. I guess that's what you get for eating Indian food while in Thailand. The food took forever to get, and the portions were tiny, and the prices were way too high. The food wasn't terrible, but I think that's probably b/c we were so hungry at that point.

Sticky Rice with Fesh Mango - Night Bazaar Market, Chaing Mai
This was soooo delicious. Basically a fresh mango is peeled and cut onto a mound of sticky rice, and then drizzled with what looked like some sort of sweet milk. Wonderful dessert!

A Jack Fruit - Day Market - Chiang Mai
This fruit literally tastes like juicy fruit gum. It is carved out from a very large, boulbous fruit, and is absoultely delicious. We loved it so much we ventured back to the market twice to sample the tasty fruit.

-
Udon Soup with Egg - Street Vendor in fron of D2 - Chiang Mai
This was our breakfast one morning, since it's very common for people to have soups in the morning. It definitely was not the tastiest dish we'd eaten.
-
Mr. Pad Thai - Night Bazarre Food Court Area - Chiang Mai
We loved Mr. Pad Thai, although couldn't understand why Mr. Pad Thai wasn't called Mrs. Pad Thai. Mr. Pad Thai started our trend with eating at least one pad thai dish a day.
-
Mr. Pad Thai's Pad Thai and Singha Beer - Chiang Mai
Jason can't wait to dig in, as is apparent by the look on his face.

Maze Restaurant - Chiang Mai
We were in the mood for a sit down dinner this evening, instead of street food. This was a good place, great atmosphere, nice food.

D2 Beer Garden - Chiang Mai
This was actually a nice place to eat, located outside the hotel right off the night bazarre. It was fun to watch all the people stream by and bargain at the market. We had a pitcher of Singha beer and some delicious food. Jason claims the chicken kabob to not only be the biggest kabob he's ever eaten, but the best.

Chicken Kabob - D2 Beer Garden - Chiang Mai
Biggest and best he's ever eaten . . .

Banana Pancake - Kamala Beach - Phuket
This was so yummy. This woman took out a piece of fresh banana dough, formed it into a large crepe round, put it on the griddle, cracked an egg on it, folded it into a nice little packet, and then sprinkled some sugar and coconut milk on it. I know, we're been eating really healthy can't you tell!
-
The Kamala Restaurant - Kamala Beach main road - Phuket
This was mainly about the ambience. Nice live music in the background, and great location looking out onto the street and people walking by. The lobster bisque was kind of fishy tasting, and we didn't eat much of that. The tuna salad was soaked in oil, and although tasty, not the best dish.

Restaurant on the Beach - Kamala Beach - Phuket
Not sure about this restaurants name. It was literally on the beach, although it's hard to make out the crashing waves in the picture. This was such an amazing setting. It was one of those times in our trip where we just couldn't believe where we were and how beautiful it all was - it felt like something out of a movie. The coconut chicken soup was nice, as well the sauteed shrimp and baby corns. Great long island iced tea, which ironically had no ice!
-
Layalina Continental Breakfast - Layalina Hotel - Phuket
Rolling out of bed to a nicely prepared continental breakfast of fresh fruits and breads, literally in front of our room wasn't too shabby. This was of course mostly about the gorgeous setting of the beach and waves crashing in the background.

Lemongrass Martini @ Rockfish in Kamala Beach
The only decent thing at Rockfish was the lemongrass and ginger "thaitini"
-
Ahi tuna with Chili Paste - Rockfish Restaurant- Kamala Beach
This dish although somewhat aesthetically pleasing, was terrible. I took one bite, and was done. Jason on the other hand was very hungry, and ate the whole thing, in denial of quite how bad it was. Lets just say he had to make an immediate visit to the restroom right after the meal, to relieve himself.

Picnic lunch on Krabi Island
This felt like a scene out of a movie, dining on delicious Thai cuisine that the boat crew prepared for us. Truly a marvelous meal, and a beautiful place.

Tiger Tavern Inn - Patong - Phuket
This was the epitome of touristy restaurants, but we were so hungry and tired of searching for the right place. Neon lights, and opulent scenery was a little over the tope. It kind of reminded me of the Rainforest Cafe in SF.

Au Bon Pain - Patong - Phuket
We were just in the mood for a good ole' sandwhich, which this place offered up. This was the first western style restaurant we ate in during our time in Thailand.

Bubblegum Snow Cone - Phuket
The pictures doesn't do it justice. Sure, it looks like a bumblegum snow cone. Which is exactly what it is. Except at the bottom are pieces of corn, potato, taro, tapioca, and gummy bears.
