Hyllit Hotel, Antwerp - 08.03.07 - 08.05.07
Very centrally located hotel, about a block and a half from the train station. The rooms are HUGE! A lot of wasted space, but nice to be able to spread out. The price is right at under $100 Euros per night including breakfast. However, don't like the use of a dingy shower curtain in the bathroom, as well as a ragged blanket on the bed -- I hate bed blankets, much perferring the duvet cover. Liked being able to log on and off internet connection, only needing to buy a 12 hour block of time. We would stay here again.

Golden Tulip De' Medici - 08.05.07 - 08.07.07 - Brugge
This supposed 4 star hotel, felt more like an overrated 3 star. Although we had a queen bed confirmed, they had none available when we checked in. The woman at the front desk would not put us in the empty suite, even though there was a queen bed in there. Our room although had some character, was definitely dated and felt dirty. Especially hate when beds have shaggy blankets on them. Also, the water temperature in the shower was so eradic, that Jason actually scolded his neck from it suddenly getting so scorching hot. The breakfast was quite dinky as well. We would likely not stay here again, even though it was only $99 Euros.

Renaissance Brussels Hotel - 08.07.07 - 08.09.07 - Brussels
We just checked into this beautiful hotel. Although it's located a little out of the central area, it's an easy metro ride away. The reception was so friendly upon check in, and instantly upgraded us to a nicer room with Executive priveleges for our first night. The room is large and spacious, and the bed thank goodness has a duvet instead of blankets. For only $100 USD this hotel is a steal -- and that includes breakfast!
