Maison Souvannaphoum Hotel , Luang Prabang - 05.15.07 - 05.18.07
There are slim pickings for nicer accomodations in Luang Prabang, but this former residence of the Prince Souvannaphoum was perfect. This is a small boutique hotel located on beautiful grounds, and central to the main area of town. Our room has a very nice veranda which looks out onto the gardens. The room is spacious and comfortable, with nice style. Best yet, the internet is rockin, which we were not expecting here in Laos. They also hooked us up with some lovely honeymoon perks, beginning with a Laos ritual of cleansing our feet on the outside patio, and then having us take a shot of whisky. We even got a "happy honeymoon" cake.

Lao Plaza Hotel, Vientiane - 05.18.07 - 05.20.07
Basic, non-descript hotel. Very nice, central location, and large rooms. Doesn't have very much character though. They were very sweet to do the rose petal setup, while we were hanging out in the room!
