Watching the Sunset
In a place like the Maldives, watching the sunset actually becomes an activity, since it's something you just don't want to miss each day. We saw lots of gorgeous sunsets throughout this week -- some from the beach, some from the boat while night fishing, and others from the comfort of the W Retreat sunset bar, where you can see Jason lounging and enjoying the beauty.

Pool Time
We spent most of the time in our private plunge pool just hanging out, however ate lunch at/in the main pool one day. This was the beast way to enjoy our food, and beat the heat immersed in the nice cool water.
-
Night Fishing
This is now Jason's new passion. Our first excursion of night fishing we caught about a dozen fish between the two of us, and ate the baracuda and snapper. He loved it so much, we rented the boat just for ourselves on our second trip out -- we caught much fewer fish time time around, however still got to eat a jobfish and red snapper that we caught.
-
Bonfire at the Beach
It doesn't get much better then a bonfire on the beach, the local band strumming on their guitars, and roasting marshmellows. The light drizzle kind of put a damper on the whole event, however Jason and I braved it alone (he wasn't going to leave without getting his marshmellow!)

Scuba Diving
The Maldives is known to have some of the best diving sites in the world, and we took advantage of this in 3 dives. The most exciting thing for us was a night dive that we did, plunging into the water while it's completely dark outside. We saw totally different sea-life in the nighttime, and of course had high powered lights to illuminate the reefs. We also snorkeled every single day along the reefs.

Eco-Adventure on The W Yacht
This yacht was a lovely boat to sail to a distant reef, and learn about the local marine life from the resident marine biologist, Ben. The snorkel we all did together was wonderful, and Ben was able to point out so many things that we would have never spotted on our own, including two octupus mating.

Sea Plane Flights
What a thrill flying in this little contraption to the distant island. The only complaint was there was no air conditioning in this thing, and it got very toasty in there. Other then that, taking off and landing on the water was exhilirating, and the views were amazing!
