The Grand Palace - Bangkok
Although no longer houses the king, this is a marvelous and oppulent palace to view. It is still considered to be the spiritual heart of the thai kingdom.
-
Wat Po Temple of the Reclining Buddhah - Bangkok
This area was so confusing, as the temple is quite large. We were in search of the massage school that is also on the same complex of the temple. It was certainly an intersting scene with a ton of people crammed into a hot sticky room, getting thai massages. We went somewhere else for ours
-
Thai Massage at Ananda Spa - Sukhimvit - Bangkok
This was a total "wow" experience for both of us. Neither of us had ever had such an amazing massage in our life, and now we're hooked on the Thai massage.
-
Night out on the Sukhimvit - Bangkok
Feeding an elephant was just one part of our night in the Sukhimvit area. This places goes off!
-
1 am Thai Foot and Body Massage - Sukhimvit - Bangkok
We stumbled upon this place on the recommendation of Eddie, the owner of the tequila bar across the street. I got a great foot and back massage, although Jason's experience was not quite what he was expecting!
-
Night Bazarre - Chiang Mai
We spent part of every night in Chiang Mai wandering through the night market. It was such a blast, especially trying all the exciting street foods.
-
Elephant Trek at a Working Elephant Camp - Chiang Mai
Our driver was a little aggresive with the elephant, and it was sad to see him hitting his head with a stick that had a metal prong attached to it. It was quite difficult to stay on the seat of the elephant, since it's a bumpy ride.

Karen Village Visit (red people) - Chiang Mai
These people were brought over from Burma. Their survival is based on tourists buying their goods of woven shawls. There is a major opium issue among these people since they do such hard lanor they rely on the pain killer to soothe them. This visit to the village felt as if the people were on display, and it was kind of awkward. The children were adorable, and we couldn't help giving them some money for their bracelets.
-
Bamboo Rafting Down the River - Chiang Mai
This was so much fun. These bamboo rafts were hobbled together, and we were kind of skeptical that they would float. They did however manage to take us down the river, with the assistance of both Jason and I taking turns helping to drive the boat (meaning we used a long piece of bamboo to push off the floor of the river to give us some speed). We inevitably got entangled in the "no wet, no fun" water fights, which all the bamboo rafts had. We were soaking wet by the end!
-
Thai Massage at Legens Spa - Chiang Mai
This hot stone and Thai massage was sooooo nice. There's no doubt that when you pay a little more for the treatments, you seem to get more skilled masseuses. These ladies definitely new what was up!
-
Day Market - Chiang Mai
We loved walking through this market and sampling lots of different food. I even bought a $4 tank top, that I loved!
-
Beach Time - Kamala Beach - Phuket
We certainly needed some time to chill out after our constant going, and this was a perfect place to take advantage of the beach and the beautiful sunshine.
-
Chill Out Time - Layalina Hotel - Phuket
"Chill out time" and "beach time" are in fact very different, since beach time can actually be somewhat taxing. I mean, having to apply sunscreen every hour or so, walking from the lounge chair to the water to take a dip in the 90 degree water, and reading your book under a nice shady umbrella are all kind of strenusous. Thus, the importance of "chill out" time to do absolutely nothing but stare off into the sunset is crucial!
-
High Speed Boat to Koh Hong Krabi and Phang Nga Bay - Phuket
This was such a great day trip. We were in search of a smaller excursion, since many of the boat trips packed at least 25 people in a boat. We found Limestone Adventures, and ended up being only 2 out of 4 people on this day trip out to the 170 island chain (the other was a sweet Australian couple on their honeymoon). It was a blast!
-
Koh Nok Beach - Phuket
We arrived to this secluded island and got to swim in the warm water, basque in the sun, mingle with our Australian honeymooners, and have our amazing picnic lunch!
-
Picnic Lunch at Ko Phak Bia Beach - Krabi Islands - Thailand
This meal felt like something out of the movies, since the crew of 3 (there were only 4 of us) prepared this beautiful picnuc on the beach that included tons of authentic Thai dishes. It was amazing!
-
Snorkeling at Koh Pak Bia - Krabi Islands - Thailand
Well, I have to admit the snorkeling wasn't very good at all. You could barely see anything in the water, since it was quite murky and not many fish. To top it off, Jason and I got severly bitten by sea lice. It's kind of like the sensation of being minorly stung all over, however the pain doesn't continue. I was initially scared that it was a jellyfish sting, so was actually happy to figure out it was just sea lice.
